Ride to Conquer Cancer

Triumphant in the face of adversity! Danni recently completed a 2 day 200 kilometer ride and raised almost $3,000 for cancer research.  Having only taken up riding earlier this year and having had her fair share of mishaps and confidence sapping tribulations during her training, Danni made the start line and more importantly the finish line of this event.

Along the way, she heard from numerous inspirational people who spend every day of their life looking for a cure, looking for something to help us work out what causes and how we can stop cancers.

The experience has seen her reflect not only on the personal achievement but also on what hard work can deliver, what challenges others are facing daily and helped put into perspective the role we play each day in our own jobs. When we asked her to tell us about the ride and how hard it was, she said there were times when she felt like stopping but the camaraderie amongst many of the riders saw them help each other along.

She is currently planning her Next ride and in the process of upgrading wheels on her bike....these cyclists never stop!!  Well done Danni!!
