Endurance test is no obstacle to charity runner

Colleague Frank Bowyer and team mates pounded WA bush trails over a gruelling 22km earlier this month to help raise funds to combat Multiple Sclerosis.

They were taking part in the 2015 Rotary Team Challenge between Chittering to Northam but each team had to first raise a minimum of $500 just to be able to compete.

“I was really committed to raising funds and awareness as little is still really known about MS.  It can effect sufferers in different ways,” Frank said.

Three teams, each comprising up to six runners. took on the 22km course and had to stay together and finish as teams.

“We all crossed the line between 1hr 45min and two hours,” Frank said.

A total of $3200 was raised and the teams are back in training for the next series of events.
